Tips
It is a must in the Annecy basin! Mont Baron rises to 1,299 meters above sea level, just a little higher than its neighbor, Mont Veyrier. From there, there is a superb view of the lake, Annecy, Semnoz and Entrevernes mountain in particular.

Beautiful walk.
The climb up cannot be described as an accessible path; it's a lot of scrambling. It also goes up very steeply. This does not alter the fact that the view at the top is fantastic, both over (lake) Annecy and to the other side towards Mont Blanc.
