This is the former Pink Lodge Gatehouse.

One of the 2 gatehouses which were strategically positioned on Earls Drive, the main thoroughfare through the estate.
(The second gatehouse is now Rambler's Retreat.)

The gatekeepers would keep a watch for the Earl's carriage from the tower to ensure that gates were opened promptly.
Pink Lodge, 400m north of Station Lodge on the west side of Farley Lane, is a substantial mid C19 brick building, slightly Italianate in style and with two projecting towers as its most prominent elements. It stands at the entrance to Barbary Gutter, apparently a westward extension of the grounds.
