Commes is a small village in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy in France. It has a population of 445 inhabitants and is located on the butte d’Escures, two kilometers from Port-en-Bessin and eight kilometers north of Bayeux. It has a church dedicated to the Nativity of Christ and a manor house. It is also a site for gliding and paragliding.

Charming little village with such narrow streets that the main road has to loop around the outer perimeter of the large cemetery in front of the large Notre Dame church
