There is so much to see and discover, as today's Eiderstedt was only able to form through dyke closures.

Here you can cycle very nicely, almost all streets have a separate cycle path.

The Eiderstedt peninsula is quiet and tranquil, but also active and lively, and offers plenty of excursion options. The peninsula was originally created by land reclamation and dikes, as well as by two islands and a peninsula. The west coast of Eiderstedt is characterized by sand banks, dunes and salt marshes. The Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park (designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009), the Katinger Watt and the seal banks in the Wadden Sea are very popular ecological attractions. It is a paradise for bird watchers because many species of birds settle here during the breeding season.st-peter-ording.de/mein-spo/entdeck/eiderstedt
