Val Falcina is a fluvial-torrent incision with a typical "V" profile, deeply carved in the Main Dolomites. Located on the orographic right of the Mis stream, it is closed to the south-west by the impenetrable walls of the Pizzocco. An easy ring trail (1h 30 ', 290 m D +) allows, even for non-expert hikers, to immerse themselves in environments with wild charm and undoubted naturalistic interest. The informative panels placed at the edge of the track contain geological, botanical and faunal information that make the walk an opportunity for further study. For its floristic and vegetational peculiarities, the itinerary can be considered representative of the medium altitude landscape. The area is important for the presence of floristic entities with oriental diffusion (Black pine, Ambretta, Campanula, Euforbia). With a little attention, it is possible to hear or see many passerines and other interesting species such as the golden eagle and the black woodpecker.
