Best Hikes to Rio Molino Valley

Tips

  • High above Villa Ottone is the smallest and most remote village in the Valle Aurina and Val di Tures: Rio Molino. Even just the position at about 1,500 a.s.l. worth a visit. It almost seems that the church and the courtyard have to hold fast to the steep slope, in order not to slide down. But Rio Molino has many other attractions to offer, such as the Parish Church from 1517.Continuing among the alpine huts in the valley floor, along the Mühlbach stream, you can immerse yourself in the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park, in unspoiled nature and in a majestic alpine scenery.
