Tips

  • Roman Domhardt + Zera vom Laucherttal

The Witthoh is the Tuttlinger local mountain and rises south of the city on the Danube. The mountain range also serves as a watershed, and the northern drains flow thus over the Danube into the Black Sea, while draining the southern slopes of the ridge in the direction of Lake Constance. At the highest point is a radio mast of the SWR, which can also be reached with the Renner.
The character of the mountain is just as different: While the north side is much more wooded, the southern slopes and the summit are free of disturbing trees and provide clear views for great panoramic views over Lake Constance from the Zugspitze in the east to the Bernese Alps with Eiger , Monk and virgin. The volcanic cones of the Hegau, such as Hohenstoffel and Hohenhewen, are also clearly visible. This panorama establishes the reputation as one of the most beautiful mountains in the region, which has already inspired the (in QD) second most famous Hesse.
