Originally, the nameless house of God stood as a "field band" on the grounds of the paper factory of Heinrich Nicolaus on the Argenbrücke. Then she had to give way to a factory extension. Heinrich Nicolaus bore the entire costs and provided the riding area of his family as a location. That was in 1929. Nicolaus transferred the chapel of the Protestant church, which she has since used for the Weitnauer parishioners. The first evangelicals probably came as workers of the paper mill in the region and oriented church first to Isny. Then the St. Mang parish Kempten took over the pastoral care, before from 1949 the Christuskirche Kempten became responsible. Since 1979, the parish belongs to Waltenhofen Resurrection Church.
