Well maintained and scenic hiking trails along the Schwalm

Now the planets are in the Schwalm floodplains. More precisely, there are nine steles. Each carries a stylized sun with a diameter of exactly 1.39 meters. The planets are attached to it - in exact proportions - so most of them are only about the size of a marble. Under each stele there is a large sign with interesting facts about the respective planet.

The circular route begins at the fire brigade in Brüggen. 4.5 kilometers then have to be walked - in a ratio of one to a billion kilometers, that is the distance that actually lies between the planets. The path, which already existed as a hiking trail, is barrier-free and therefore also suitable for wheelchair users. You can also “hike” it by bike. Small signs always lead to the next planet.
