From the Col de Ceyssat, at an altitude of 1,100 meters, you can climb to the summit of the Puy de Dôme on foot, reaching its peak at 1,465 meters above sea level. It is the highest summit in the Chaîne des Puys. A path with numerous steps will lead you there. The Puy de Dôme overlooks the city of Clermont-Ferrand. It will also give you a unique view of the other volcanoes. Another way to get there is to take a panoramic cable car located a little further west.
