A quiet, family-friendly hiking trail leads from the Sunnbüel mountain station to the three small, deep-blue Swiss stone pine lakes in the enchanting Swiss stone pine forest.

The three Swiss stone pine lakes glisten with crystal-clear, deep-blue water – fed by melting snow. They often dry out in summer.
Surrounded by ancient Swiss stone pines and larches on the Spittelmatten plateau, nestled in the high alpine backdrop of the Bernese Alps. At the rear of the lake, you'll find a well-equipped barbecue area with benches and firewood – ideal for a break.Best time: Late May to mid-July – depending on snowmelt. After that, the lakes often dry out.
