Schönau's heraldic animal, the stag named Fridu von der Linde, has received a new look: The two Schönau artists, Renate Schmidt and Margot Krämer, a former art teacher at Schönau High School, collected photographs from past and present times, photocopied them, and tailored them to the stag's body. The finished artwork has now been officially unveiled under the old court linden tree on Schönau's Talstraße.
