There is a weather station at the Kegnaes lighthouse. Your current weather data are also part of the sea weather report of the DWD, which is updated 4 times a day. The measuring systems are clearly visible next to the lighthouse. There is also an observation post of the Danish border guards directly on the coast, which registers all ships over 300 gross register tons. The small house next to the lighthouse is a holiday home in the community of Sonderburg for veterans of the Danish armed forces.
