I am a native of Bonlieu: the lake is magnificent but I do not recommend swimming there. Indeed, this undeveloped lake has currents created by underground rivers and can lead experienced swimmers to the bottom. There are plenty of lakes in the area suitable for swimming, keep this one to dip your eyes into.
