Cicero's Tomb is one of the most significant monuments of the city of Formia and is located along the Via Appia in the direction of Rome at Km. 139. The mausoleum dates back to the Augustan age and the attribution of the sepulcher to Cicero remains doubtful even today. if some clues would confirm this hypothesis.

The Tomb of Cicero altogether just over 24 meters high, is composed of a square base measuring 18 meters on each side surmounted by a cylindrical tower built with stone rings and probably covered with marble slabs. The function of this tower, in all probability, was simply to increase the monument's grandeur and visibility. Inside the large square base there is a large circular funerary cell covered by an annular vault and surrounded by six perimeter niches.
