If you want to see the Bruyant gorges in all their splendor, the Bec de l'Aigle is the place to go. It makes a good hiking destination from Lans-en-Vercors.

The Bec de l' Aigle (Eagle's Beak) is an incredible viewpoint, not far from Grenoble in the Vercors region, between Lans-en-Vercors and St Nizier-du-Moucherotte.
From here, you can enjoy the incredible panorama to the north, up through the rock valley of le Furon, and the Gorges du Bruyant.
