Tips
Lichtenberg is a knight town with tradition in the Franconian Forest. The historic old town is a popular meeting place and you can enjoy a coffee on the well-kept market square during a break. In the year 814 - construction of a castle on a mountain cone "cleared" by the forest, under whose protection a larger settlement emerges called Lichtenberg. In 2013 the city celebrated its 675th anniversary, Lichtenberg is the oldest of all nine cities in the Hof district.
