On the old connection path from Wiesen to Edelbach are two glassworks from the 16th and 17th centuries, the "Epsteinhütten" named after the forest section located here. The "Epstein 1" glassworks, on the premises of which you are here, is documented for the years 1510 to 1512 by a Mainz inventory letter.
