Vantaankoski (Swedish: Vandaforsen) is a culturally and historically significant rapid in Vantaanjoki. It is 240 meters long and has a drop of 5 meters. Koski is located in the area of the city of Vantaa and is divided into three different districts. Vantaanlaakso and Piispankylä are on the western bank of the rapids, while the eastern bank of the rapids belongs to Viinikkala. The rapids are particularly impressive in spring when the snow melts and made an impression on me (the maximum is 230 m3/s according to Wikipedia).

The area around Vantaankoski is a prehistoric residential area that has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The place became a traffic junction where roads in different directions and a waterway leading north crossed. In the 16th century, joint mills from the villages of Vantaa were built on the rapids. The village of Myllymäki, consisting of two houses, was built on the site. In the 1830s, Ruukki started operations and ore processing in the Kvarnbacka rapids.
