Location: Hagen im Bremischen, Lower Saxony, Germany
The Burg zu Hagen im Bremisch, also called Burghagen, is a castle in the municipality of Hagen im Bremisch in the Lower Saxony district of Cuxhaven. It is one of the numerous fortifications built by Bremen archbishops in the vicinity of the city of Bremen. Already mentioned in the 12th century, today's two-storey brick building was erected in the early 16th century. The oldest paintings date from this period. The building was restored between 1985 and 1988 and now houses a cultural center.

Along the Burgallee there are 10 steles where entertaining video clips on historical events related to Hagen Castle can be called up using a QR code on a mobile phone or tablet. Tablets can also be borrowed from the castle.

Nice building, when there is no event it is a quiet place. I took a break on a bench in front of the castle.
