    Rosenthal-Bielatal

    Climbing paradise in the forest

Idyllic holiday resort in the middle of a hiking and climbing paradise, surrounded by extensive forests and bizarre rock formations.

The towns of Bielatal and Rosenthal are located in the middle of a huge forest area that stretches as far as the Czech Republic. Above all, the upper Bielatal is characterized by its very own character, which is most evident between Schweizermühle and Ottomühle. Here, in the middle of the forest, a multitude of rock towers in the most fantastic weathering forms present themselves to the eye of the hiker.

The Sachsenstein, the Hercules columns, the Johanniswacht and the pulpit tower are also unique natural monuments that only give an idea of the once raging forces of nature. Three larger caves also testify to this: the Benno cave, the ice hole and the 19 meter deep Schwedenloch with its ice pit behind the Ottomühle.

In the district of Brausenstein, a blast furnace ruin of the former hammer mill has also been preserved as a monument to a venerable place of work from the past. In Bielatal, especially the little visitors are attracted by a tour through the rugged rock labyrinth.
