The landing place of the angels is a work of art by Christoph Wank, who was born in Marktoberdorf. The work of art was installed here on the Buchel (derived from "hump") in 1997 and has since become a popular meeting place for the people of Marktoberdorf.
Unfortunately, a storm in 2023 destroyed the work of art by knocking down the tree around which the work of art was erected, damaging some of the panels. The work of art has since been rebuilt, but now with a young tree in its center that is yet to grow to great strength.
