At the dam between Upper and Lower Kiliansteich is the stamp post 211 of the Harzer hiking nobility. Both ponds are idyllically situated in the Unterharzer Wasserregal around Straßberg. From here, many ponds can be combined in a hike.

Unfortunately the HWN stamp box was not available today, 2018-09-09. The post, however, was still standing. :(

Kiliansteiche were originally a Stau cascade of which only the uppermost pond is left. In 1989, the dams were removed in very poor condition. Is the stamp post 211 of the Harzer hiking nobility

The Kiliansteiche are beautifully situated, a hike on the shore is recommended.
