On the dam between the upper and lower Kiliansteich is the stamping point 211 of the Harzer hiking nobility. Both ponds are very idyllically situated in the Lower Harz water shelf around Straßberg. From here, many ponds can be combined in one hike.

Kiliansteiche were originally a Stau cascade of which only the uppermost pond is left. In 1989, the dams were removed in very poor condition. Is the stamp post 211 of the Harzer hiking nobility
