Not much can be seen of the complex. Still, it's a nice place. On the small bridge, friendly people have set up tree trunks as seating, because unfortunately there is no bench. The mining nature trail is provided with many small informative boards.

Very nice is the way from the pit Glasebach. Already at the mine you will find a stamp of the Harzer hiking pin (175), if you have reached this just follow the signs to Hellergrund. If you have reached the Hellergrund (194 of the HWN), the best way is to take the way back via the mining trail past Batkes Wiese.

You will find the stamping point 194 Hellergrund on the mining educational trail, there is a lot of interesting information to be found on the individual panels, and from here it is not far to the pear tree pond

A dense spruce forest is lined with a wetland, where a stream is looking for the way to Selke. Numerous mining pines give information about the historical places on the edge of the path. The stamp office Hellergrund has its location here.

the way to the stamp is a bit confused, because the stamp is not signposted at the end and the way through the storm 2018, is difficult. You have to wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, sports shoes are not recommended

First of all, the pictures posted show it. Not much is left of the only system, which is also shown by the repeatedly and constantly repeated images of the stamp box of the Harz hiking needle HWN 194.
Nothing has actually been preserved from the systems, which consisted of water wheels, rods, pumps and stamping mills and were used to process the iron ore extracted. All in all, it's historical mining history.

The Hellergrund can be reached via several hiking trails from Neudorf, Silberhütte or Straßberg. In this mining area, among other things, the mining circular trail was laid out, which leads past many historical places. It is definitely worth visiting the nearby pear tree pond.

At first it looks very unspectacular, but if you look at the signs and the conditions there, it becomes very interesting.
