What seems so banal today was by no means a matter of course back then: just crossing the border by bike was only reserved for the professionals on the Friedensfahrt. Back then, the route didn't lead along the Elbe Cycle Path, but this place is still a good place to think about how freely we can move around today. ;)

Unfortunately, at the moment (18.07.2021) it's time to clean up. A lot of mud and debris washed up towards the Elbe over the weekend and badly affected the rest area at the border.
