De Plas belongs to the Kelchterhoef domain and is part of De Wijers. There is a 2.6 km walking route around the entire lake. Halfway through you pass the nature zone, which turns beautiful purple, especially during the summer, due to the blooming heather. The Lake is an old sand extraction pit and is dangerously deep in some places, up to 10 meters. Fishermen can fish for one of the largest carp in Europe, the Mohican. There are various toads and frogs in the nature reserve, including the rare natterjack toad. There are also various events.
