Murmelland Zillertal – Playground and Petting Zoo

Small playground and petting zoo with goats and sheep. There are also marmots to see, but of course they are not tame and cannot be petted.

If you are calm, you might hear them whistle! You can enjoy the first highlight of this circular route at the beginning, and again at the end: The Murmelland at the Kaltenbach ski hut. Here you can marvel at real marmots - "Mangal" in the Zillertal dialect. You can't stroke them, goats, sheep and alpacas jump in for it. The Murmelland also includes an exciting adventure playground for children!

The Murmelland is a great highlight for children on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße. There is a lot to play, to be amazed by and animals such as goats and rabbits can be petted by children.
