Kreealm-Kreehütte

The lower of the two Kreealmen is the Kreealm-Kreehütte at 1,483 meters. You can reach this hut in around one and a half hours on the hiking trail or along the forest path. A little in front of the hut there is a small chapel, which encourages you to pause for a moment. (Source: grossarltal.info).

We visited the lower of the two Kreealmen on the way back. At the Kreealm-Bichlhütte (the Kreealm above) there was a very tasty cheese dumpling soup and then dessert: very tasty blackberry cake. But be careful: For the way up here you need a certain level of fitness and should not be completely untrained. The way runs!

The Kreebauer is a member of the Genuss Region Großarltaler Bergernkäse. You can purchase the cheese specialties and many other products from the alpine pasture in the Hüttschlager Bauernladenstüberl.

You can also spend the night at the Kreehütte and there is even a barbecue facility on the alpine pasture for groups.
