Start from Apát restaurant in Apátistvánfalva, hilly scenic asphalt road into Slovenia.

From Slovenia a nice forest road back to Felsőszölnök, Hungary. We did not want to go on asphalt road to Alsószölnök, so we decided to go on the road next to the Austrian border showd by Komoot. Started well. Beautiful scenery, nice houses and forest. Good condition gravel road. After a while the road became more and more not maintained. High grass, mud and some segments we only could go without road. We found the way though. In the valley the road was even hard for hikers i think. With bikes it was really adventourous. Carriing the bikes through little waters and bigger drops. Very difficult. Finally we reached Alsószölnök. Had great Pilsner here.

From Szakonyfalu we went back to Apátistvánfalva through the forest. This road has also hard segments (carry bikes, etc..). Great drinks and food in Apát restaurant after all.

If You like adventourous rides i recommend! You will have here everything. Little downhill sections on gravel or on forest path, hard climbs, etc.
