Bike Touring Highlight
Einbeck, the original home of Bock beer, is a jewel of medieval town architecture. Einbeck's historic old town bears witness to the wealth that has been generated by the beer trade.
Already more than 600 years ago the brewing art triumphs celebrated in Einbeck. In 1616, there were 723 licensed houses. As a member of the Hanseatic League, Einbecker exported their beer to large parts of central and northern Europe.
Even today you can find everywhere in the old town on the Einbecker beer history. The Einbecker beer trail should help to make this beer story more vivid. The Einbecker beer trail is a tour of about 2.3 km in length within the old ramparts. Along the route beer keg displays offer interesting facts and figures about the Einbecker beer history. The trail is connected by a trail of beer barrel icons with directional arrows. Follow the self-explanatory path along the barrel trail and dive into the centuries-old Einbecker beer history!
