I am especially fond of this part of the museum as I brought the children along many times when they were small but my fondest memory was when I crafted a heart from a 6' nail during a rare open day of the forge.

This forge and blacksmiths situated between the Caldon & Trent and Mersey Canal has been standing for 150 years. The building was restored in 1969 and is in use today as a working blacksmith and industrial museum.
