Lake Pescher is part of the 600-hectare "Stöckheimer Hof" recreational area. Together with the Escher See, the Stöckheimer See, the Baadenberger Senke, the Große Laache nature reserve and the Orrer Forest, the area is one of the most beautiful local recreation areas between Pulheim and the north of Cologne. About 30 years ago, the recreation area got its name from the former estate "Gut Stöckheim", which is also in the middle. In the Orrer forest, around the "Zwirner Bau", almost 50 Alexander's parakeets have settled for several years.
