The pilgrimage route Via Porta goes along here. A path of spirituality, meditation, prayer in the unique natural landscape between Thuringia and Bavaria. It begins in Volkenroda directly at the monastery of the evangelical Jesus Brotherhood. Over a total length of over 300 kilometers, it leads in 18 stages to the Catholic Cistercian Abbey in Waldsassen.
