The Gartetalradweg follows the former railway line of the Gartetalbahn. The paved section between Reinhäuser Landstraße and Diemarden is easy to ride and shouldn't be a problem with a racing bike.

Very nice, narrow bike path, shady under trees and bushes along the garden. Perfect alternative to the road via Geismar to Göttingen.

Paved, narrow path. Not suitable for speed records as there is oncoming traffic. But you should have driven through it in the summer.
