This hiking refuge was built by the forest ponds in the early 1960s.
It was named after Heinrich Karl Werner (died 1970) from Ober-Mörlen, who was employed as a carpenter for the city of Bad Nauheim and was significantly involved in the construction of the hut.
In addition, it should be said that Heinrich Karl Werner was my great-grandfather.
