The island town of Malchow lies with its old town core on an island between the Malchower lake and the Fleesensee and connects over the earth dam and the swing bridge both banks, on which it has spread on gently rising hills. The monastery church of the monastery Malchow existed as Feldsteinkirche demonstrably from 1235.
