A real gem presents itself to the walker/hiker walking along the Ahr in Liers: The Bartolomäus Chapel is a small but very well-kept place of worship. We found the door open during our visit on a Monday. Considering that in Liers, too, the street leading along here was affected by the terrible heavy rain disaster of June 2021 (a little further on we come across a memorial right on the bridge over the Ahr), it has been wonderfully restored and is a worthy place of prayer.
