The water level of the river Dinkel can be so high that the cycle path is submerged to such an extent that riding on it becomes impossible. This surprise hit me in mid-March, after which I saw half of my chainrings disappear under the water, and because this continued for more than 100 meters, so did my shoes. Inform yourself about the water level of the Dinkel before including this segment in your route.
