Ferlacher Horn

Great view of the Klagenfurt basin as a reward for the steep ascent. You can either start from the German Peter or from Waidisch.

The Ferlacher Horn is a great panoramic mountain near Klagenfurt. The Koschuta in front of your nose, on the left the Hochobir, on the right Hochstuhl, Triglav and Mitagskogel - and in the north Hochamspitze, Glockner, Sonnblick etc. depending on the view.
I particularly like to walk the Raketensteig from Ferlach: very steep and sometimes steep, rarely used and gradually growing. Is not for everyone. But if you look from Klagenfurt to the Ferlacher Horn, then (I think) you also have to go up from the front and not sneak up over the German Peter from behind on the right. :-)
