Mountain Biking Highlight
Goethe and the Gerbermühle
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe visited the tanner mill for the first time in 1814 as well as several times in the same and the following year. During this time he met Marianne von Willemer.
A close friendship developed between Goethe, who was already 65 years old at the time, and Marianne, who was around 35 years younger. Marianne also became the model for Suleika in the "West-Eastern Divan" published by Goethe in 1819 - and co-authored the collection of poems.
Goethe spent a large part of his last summer in Frankfurt in the Gerbermühle, and there he celebrated his 66th birthday on August 28, 1815. Shortly afterwards, he wrote his famous poem “Ginkgo Biloba” and sent it to Marianne von Willemer, along with two ginkgo leaves.

Sorry guys, what's going on here ??? I just looked at your pictures of the highlight "Gerbermühle" - a wonderful place, also aptly described by Les Guilvinistes and in Wiki!
Conclusion: Of currently 116 photos, more than 95% of them have absolutely nothing to do with this highlight. Is this a photo trash can?
Warning: Unfortunately, I have seen this spam behavior more and more recently.
I fear very much that we will destroy a really good and useful navigation platform very quickly 😰

Easter poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
"It is often claimed that the scene" Before the gate "from Goethe's work Faust I with the well-known sentence" Here I am a person, here I can be! "By walking from the Sachsenhausen Mühlberg, where the Willemers owned a garden house, to Gerbermühle is understandable and that Goethe was inspired to write these verses around 1774 through this experience of nature. " Quoted from: osterspaziergang.info/gedicht.html
"Satisfied cheers big and small:
Here I am human, here I can be! ":-)
