Goethe and the Gerbermühle
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe visited the tanner mill for the first time in 1814 as well as several times in the same and the following year. During this time he met Marianne von Willemer.
A close friendship developed between Goethe, who was already 65 years old at the time, and Marianne, who was around 35 years younger. Marianne also became the model for Suleika in the "West-Eastern Divan" published by Goethe in 1819 - and co-authored the collection of poems.
Goethe spent a large part of his last summer in Frankfurt in the Gerbermühle, and there he celebrated his 66th birthday on August 28, 1815. Shortly afterwards, he wrote his famous poem “Ginkgo Biloba” and sent it to Marianne von Willemer, along with two ginkgo leaves.

Sorry guys, what's going on here ??? I just looked at your pictures of the highlight "Gerbermühle" - a wonderful place, also aptly described by Les Guilvinistes and in Wiki!
Conclusion: Of currently 116 photos, more than 95% of them have absolutely nothing to do with this highlight. Is this a photo trash can?
Warning: Unfortunately, I have seen this spam behavior more and more recently.
I fear very much that we will destroy a really good and useful navigation platform very quickly 😰
