The railway station was built in 1886 as a two-storey sandstone building with a wood-paneled attic. The building is now a listed building and is located directly on the Gutensteinerbahn.
The station has lost its function as a train station and is empty. However, it can be recommended without restriction as a starting point for numerous hikes into the Piestingtal and the Hohe Wand.
