The Berzdorfer See at the gates of Görlitz is a major tourist project in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. At the lake, water lovers will find several bathing areas to relax, playgrounds and beach volleyball courts. The 16 km long circular route around the lake invites sporty people to go cycling, hiking and inline skating. Sailing on the lake is also possible from the port. In addition to Görlitz, the municipalities of Schönau-Berzdorf auf dem Eigen and Markersdorf are located directly on the lake.
