Three-story, eight-meter-high stick pyramid. The Nativity of Christ as well as scenes of forest work and mining are shown. On the floors there are a total of 14 carved 70 to 100 centimeter high lime wood figures by the local carver Matthias Vogel. On the lower floor the holy family is depicted with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, the three kings, a stable, a shepherd, a well lady, an ox, a donkey and sheep. Above it you can see typical Erzgebirge figures, such as forest man and woman, forester and miner, and at the top there are angels and miners doing their rounds twice.
The pyramid is used all year round. By removing the impeller and cladding the upper areas in the summer months, it gives it the appearance of a wood pile. The lowest level then serves as an exhibition area for carved products.
