From a car park around 400 m east of the Ecopark Center at Stocklycke, a short, steep footpath leads to the observation tower on the Hjässan summit. The tower stands on a high plateau on which you can walk easily and see in all directions. Many also have a picnic up here.One looks mainly to the south towards Brahehus and Gyllene Uttern, to the west over the Vättern towards Hjo and after Easter over the wide plains of Östgötaslätten and the lake Tåkern. The Tåkern is one of the most famous bird lakes in Sweden and has a very modern, thatched-roof naturum.From up here you can see four landskap (provinces): Östergötland, Småland, Västergötland and Närke.
