Location: Ruhr Region, Münster District, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
The viewpoint is located near the Schellenberg hunting lodge on the southern edge of the Schellenberger forest and north of the Baldeneysee, the largest of the six Ruhr reservoirs that was dammed up in 1933. From this point you can see the entire lake from the dam to the transition to the Ruhr west of Kupferdreh. It is also possible to see the Fischlaken and Heidhausen districts in the south of the lake from there, and the ruins of Neue Isenburg are about 600 meters to the west. The geological hiking trail on Lake Baldeney runs below the cliff, where Ruhr sandstone was once mined.

The cliffs rise over 92 meters above Lake Baldeney. (144m. above sea level) A great view of the lake.
