The St. Thomas and Maria Church was built around 1300 as a castle chapel and was fundamentally renewed by the von Hodenberg family in 1424 and used as a chapel.
Its special features include the coat of arms of von Hodenbergs, the pulpit altar in Rococo style, the crucifix from the 15th century and the classical organ from 1842.It was thoroughly renovated in 1998. Among other things, she received a new altar and the large antependium, a pulpit antependium and four antependia for the reading desk.Source: Ahlden parish
