Tips
The former gravel lake in the Weser floodplain near Wietersheim has long since developed into a true natural paradise. Various species of birds can be seen on the small islands all year round, and they also breed there. I have enjoyed cycling along the cycle path along this wonderful lake landscape for years. Even though the previously asphalted path was "shredded" years ago and has unfortunately been a gravel path since then. It is now reasonably comfortable to cycle on again.
