    Mountain biking

This fen is a so-called pingo. Created during the last ice age, about 150,000 years ago.
“A pingo pit is the remains of a pingo. A pingo is a 'mountain that grows' in Inuit. The mountain grows through an ice lens in the ground that can grow into a decent mountain. That ice lens is covered by the soil that was on it at the beginning of its formation. As the pingo continues to grow, the ground slides down and forms a wall around the mountain.”
