The small town has much to offer. In addition to the well-known Adlerwarte there are steep hills and views of the Eggekamm, as here on the Falkenburg, which is still rehabilitated (2017).

HistoryMiddle AgesBerlebeck was first mentioned in 1151 as Bertelwic. The first farms were proven to have existed in the swampy valley of the Berlebecke as early as 1000 AD, and from 1550 onwards the first street cottage settlements were built in the area of the Hahn and Stemberg. The Krugmeier farm, an important resting place for horses and village pub, was probably built before this and was later bought by the Princely Forestry Directorate. A bakery from 1862 can still be found next to the restored building.
