A church was mentioned in 1233 in a document that affected the monastery of Rühn. [1] It stands on the highest point in the middle of the village and is characteristic of the townscape. It is made of field and brick. The flat-roofed building with the east end is divided by supporting pillars. From 1873 to 1874 a comprehensive renovation took place, in which a neo-Gothic tower with four floors was built on the foundations of the old tower. Two bells were hung in this tower, which were replaced by two steel bells in 1927.
